Installing Redhat from network

Hi,

I'd like to boot my Itanium-based system from a network image to start Redhat AS installation.

Many thanks and points in advance for instructions/links!

Re: Installing Redhat from network

Hi Mihails,
here a link for you:

http://elibrary.fultus.com/technical/index.jsp?topic=/com.fultus.redhat.elinux4/manuals/rhel-ig-x8664-multi-en-4/cover.html

Under RedHat Enterprise Linux 4, click on "Installation Guide for X86, Itanium ..."
then click on "Installing Red Hat Enterprise Linux",
then click on "Performing a Network installation"

Itanium specific information:
Under RedHat Enterprise Linux 4, click on "Installation Guide for X86, Itanium ..."
then click on "Itanium System specific information",
then go to 2.5 section ( preparing for network installation )

Hope this helps,
Regards,
Alessandro

Hi Mihails,

Boot your machine then press F12 , choose NFS image and then set the ip address and name of the NFS server which contains the iso images and continue the installation as usual.

Hope this helps,
