instructions to modify the binding order of LANs
Hi,
Is there any steps that can be followed for user to modify the binding order of the LAN cards, when there are more than one LAN card configured on the server.
OS : Linux advanced Server 2.1

Re: instructions to modify the binding order of LANs
The reference to 'eth0' (etc.) is hwo they are referenced by the entries in '/etc/modules.conf'.
If you've got multiple of the same type of card in the system however, you will have greater difficulty.
You ahve to individually address the cards using whatever flags the driver for that make of card allows (use 'modinfo', and see what options you've got).
If it's the latter, if you could provide some more details of your machine's hardware, and the details from '/proc/ioports'.

One long-haired git at your service...
