IPMI very slow
Hi,
I have HP ML150 G3 SATA which has IPMI (ver. 2.0, firmware 2.2). I have debian linux with stock 2.6.18.2 kernel with IPMI enabled.
Upon boot, I receive these messages:
ipmi_si: Trying SMBIOS-specified KCS state machine at I/O address 0xca2, slave address 0x20, irq 192
ipmi_si: ipmi_si unable to claim interrupt 192, running polled
ipmi: Found new BMC (man_id: 0x000000, prod_id: 0x0000, dev_id: 0x01)
IPMI KCS interface initialized
ipmi_si: Trying ACPI-specified KCS state machine at memory address 0xca2, slave address 0x0, irq 0
Could not set up I/O space
Is this normal or do I have something wrong (unable to claim interrupt)? The problem is that every ipmi command (using ipmitool) is very slow. For example ipmitool sensors takes 20 seconds to display it all. And during this time, the "[kipmi0]" process takes about 20% CPU (reported as sys cpu usage).
Can be anything done about this?
