ipmitool cannot connect to the iLO

[rhel6_cluster]

[root@PDC-PIC-PL-02 ~]# ipmitool -I open chassis power status
Chassis Power is on

But

root@PDC-PIC-PL-01 ~]# ipmitool -I lanplus -H 192.168.25.18 -U hpadmin -a chassis status
Password:
Error: Unable to establish IPMI v2 / RMCP+ session
Error sending Chassis Status command

Please help!

Hi,

what server are you using? If it is a G5 or earlier Hardware, ipmi should not be supported. if it would be a virtual server,I would doupt, that ipmi will be working, too.
