iptables , squid and mail

Hi friends,

new question: I've setup a RH 9.0 box with SQUID, iptables. first problem is, even after setting redirection to squid's port ( I use 8080) in iptables, enabling packet-forwarding, and setting squid in accelerator mode, transparent proxy not working. I've made transparent proxies on RH 8.0 2-3 times , without any problem.
second problem: can I forward mail client packets directly using NAT policies? if so, which ports to be NATted? I want that my clients should use web through SQUID, but can access mails directly( all clients are M$ based). NATing 25 & 110 ports only does not seems to work.I believe some other ports also have to be SNATed.

Witing for ur reply

Thanks

Re: iptables , squid and mail

The best place to handle mail is with iptables.

Iptables has a simple configuration for handling NAT and port forwarding.
