Kdump service not working when hp agents are running.
Hi !
I have some problems with kdump services in RH5. During system hang capture kernel is no loading - console diplay messages like in the attachment. This problem never occure if I turned off hp-snmp-agents, hp-health services (then kdump works properly). I think there might be some problem with hardware's software and OS.
Additional problem occurs after boot when the dump is finished - server is noreachable by network (it's occure recently during tests). Thanks for any help :)

Re: Kdump service not working when hp agents are running.
What version of PSP did you install? My kdumps have always worked until today. For the first time, I installed 8.50 and none of these servers will kdump. I will uninstall its components and install the trustworthy PSP 8.30
Have you opened a case or found a solution?

Re: Kdump service not working when hp agents are running.
Hello Paul,
Here is my configuration. The PSP is 8.30 for all product excluding HP System Health Application.
I didn't open any case yet. On solution is to disable hp-agents and kdump work properly, but this is not acceptable on our site.
If I find sollution I will post on this topic. Please let me know if you find sollution.

Re: Kdump service not working when hp agents are running.
My blades (G7) are too new to work with PSP 8.30, causing a blank HP Homepage. After rebuilding a server from scratch (and testing kdump as I went along), I manually updated 8.30 to 8.50 using 'rpm -UVh' on the components that were important. Homepage is working fine and so is kdump. My kdump was still working with 8.30 health and snmp-agents running, but Homepage was useless.
I will open up a case about PSP 8.50 and kdump. The key is to install PSP components via RPM. I never install any HP drivers over native RH drivers.
