Kernel panic: not continuing
I have get the following error when I have been rebooting Linux machine and then the system hanged..I must reboot the system via
swicting power off/on manualy.

This is usually caused by a hardware failure. If a memory chip dies or you add unsupported hardware to a system this is the result.
IF a memory chip has gone, it will have to be replaced. most systems come with a bootable diagnostic cd. I would boot off of that an run diagnostic tests.
