kernel panic

Hi,

My server has hung with kernel panic. I am attaching the snapshot of hung console. Below is the server details,
Server Model :ProLiant BL20p G3(Itanium)
OS : RHEL 4

System/ console log doesn't have much helpful info .Also I have searched in knowledge base on Redhat site.

Any clues..

Thanks in advance,
Anil

Re: kernel panic

Shalom Anil,

It would be helpful to know which update you are using.

Bringing the system down and performing full hardware diagnosis is a good step. Often sudden, unexplained kernel panics come from hardware issues.

I'd be sure the blade infrastructure is up to date on firmware and other issues.

Re: kernel panic

i would say to a configure a netdmup server/clinet setup whihc will help to attempt a forcefull netdump(sysrq) which canbe used for further analysis.

Here is the link for setting up Sysrq:
