This is a fairly common problem. Have you tried doing the install using the nofirewire boot paramater?

Re: linux error with ohci 1394

I append, at the boot command, nofirewire when grub booting the sistem. It's right? . No error occourse with firewire device but when searc new hardware, and the OS is blocked.

The PC (hp compaq nx9010), used a firewire same a controller, and not same a device??!
So I can't disable that?

Take a look at:

http://www.redhat.com/archives/redhat-install-list/2003-July/msg00840.html

This isn't a very happy way to solve the problem, but it appears to be what most users who encounter this problem do.
