Linux prints job unlimited times....
Hello,
We are using Redhat 6.2 as printserver.
We have about 25 HP printers all no the network via JetDirect devices/cards.
I'm using PLP as print spool mechanisme.
I'm not using filters.
We print from Win9x/NT/2000 clients to the Linux machine, wich then sends it to the HP printers.
Sometimes I get the error message : Timed out waiting for confirm from
lpd then tries to resend the job and after a while the same error appears and on and on ...
Anyone any idea how to solve this? Are there any timeout settings possible?
Thanks!

Re: Linux prints job unlimited times....
Changed the printing system from PLP to LPrng! Problem seems to be solved.
