lm_sensors and the DL380 G3
Has anyone tried using lm_sensors with these systems? A forum search doesn't turn up much at all.
So far, after running sensors-detect and setting up the modules.conf stuff, this is all I see:
eeprom-i2c-0-50
Adapter: SMBus PIIX4 adapter at 0700
Memory type: EDO
Memory size (MB): invalid (36 128 0 0)
eeprom-i2c-0-51
Adapter: SMBus PIIX4 adapter at 0700
Memory type: DDR SDRAM DIMM
Memory size (MB): 256
eeprom-i2c-0-52
Adapter: SMBus PIIX4 adapter at 0700
Memory type: DDR SDRAM DIMM
Memory size (MB): 256
eeprom-i2c-0-53
Adapter: SMBus PIIX4 adapter at 0700
Memory type: DDR SDRAM DIMM
Memory size (MB): 256
eeprom-i2c-0-54
Adapter: SMBus PIIX4 adapter at 0700
Memory type: DDR SDRAM DIMM
Memory size (MB): 256
eeprom-i2c-0-57
Adapter: SMBus PIIX4 adapter at 0700
Unknown EEPROM type (0)
Others modules (like xeontemp) load, but apparently do nothing.
We run Debian on these systems, and are looking for alternatives to the cpqhealth drivers that we currently use. Since we aren't running RedHat or any of the other 'supported' distros of choice, I forsee a day when the cpqhealth drivers might stop working. (I already see that newer releases for RHEL do not seem to come with source code, as the versions for RH 7.2 do).
Anyone have any success with the lm_sensors package? Or any other monitoring software I may not be aware of for the DL 380 G3?
Thanks!
