lvscan -- inactive "/dev/CoreVolume/Var" [100 GB]
lvscan -- 2 logical volumes with 106 GB total in 1 volume group
lvscan -- 2 inactive logical volumes
However, these two volumes are *IN USE*.
Just try using them in this state.
Use 'lvdisplay /dev/pv1/vol1', and see what 'LV status' is set too. It should be 'available'.
