megaraid / LH Pro with Mandrake dist.
Hi to all.
I'm trying to install Linux-Mandrake 7.0-2 (Air) on a HP Netserver LH Pro. I have configured a RAID-5 volume from the RAID software (with CTRL-M) in the initial HP BIOS boot.
The Mandrake software detects a AIC SCSI card, but doesn't detect any megaraid card. Then, I can install the software, but when the kernel boots for the first time and tries to mount root-fs, the boot stops and seems that any partition has been detected (and it has been configured in the installation).
I have installed the same Linux distribution in a Netserver LH 3 without any problem concerning to megaraid driver, etc.
Finally, I have installed RedHat Linux 6.1 in the LH Pro box and any problem concerning to megaraid driver.
Does anyone has experienced any problem with Mandrake distribution and LH Pro servers ?
Thanks in advance.

Re: megaraid / LH Pro with Mandrake dist.
I have experienced many different situations which require a customized Kernel.
Have you tried a standard configuration, and then attempted to implement a Customized kernel configuration?
The only other thing that I can imagine is that the Linux Mandrake Kernel is designed as a Modular Kernel, and thus needs the /etc conf.modules file to indicate the actual module required for your megaraid device. Perhaps you can examine the /etc/conf.modules files on the Mandrake and Redhat servers. Are they the same?
hope that helps.
