mode 4 network bonding with a c7000 blade enclosure

Good morning all;

Looking to see if anyone is using mode 4 network bonding on a bl460 in a c7000 blade enclosure.

Thank you for your input

Re: mode 4 network bonding with a c7000 blade enclosure

Mode 4 or 802.3ad, requires that both NICs map to the same interconnect, due the internal routing of the C7000 enclosure, one port of the embedded NIC will map to bay1 and the other will map to bay2.

There is an interconnect option, Cisco 3120, these are Cisco Stackable switches that will act as a single one, therefore you can create and LACP channel across different physical switches if they are part of the same stack.

If you have an interconnect different than Cisco 3120, using Mode 4 bonding is not an option.
