Netrais 3si monitoring under linux red-hat 8.0

Hi,
I use a Netraid 3si under Linux Red-hat 8.0.
It's configured with 3 raid 5 disks.
At the moment, if i would like to se the state of the raid i have to shutdown my server and look at the bios.
Is there any monitor tool, or agent the view the actual state without shutting dow thw server?

Thank's

Gabriele

You can download the Megaraid utility from

http://www.lsil.com/

Go to the support/download center, and select RAID adaptors, then select one of the MegaRAID SCSI models (like the 523) and click next. Get the RH8 version, which is named Rh118.tgz. This contains the megamgr application, which you can use to monitor/upgrade your array.

One caveat: I have had problems with older versios of this s/w and the 2.4.20 kernels. I you can't get this to load, and you have the most recent kernel, try downgrading to an earlier RH kernel.
