New Video card for HP Vectra XU / 200

I am trying to install new video card from Jaton Corp. (Video-88PCI-16) into HP Vectra XU/ 200 with system Bios version GG.06.13 After installing new card my system doesn?t boot (it goes through loading blue screen and hangs after displaying ROM BIOS Copyright message). I think problem is with the bios, which doesn?t recognize new card and still remembers "MILLENNIUM" as video board. I have installed latest bios from the web site.

Thanks in advance for any help.

Hello,

Could you try these 2 issues :

1. Change the PCI slot of the graphic card. Sometimes, additional PCI cards do not work in all PCI slots.

2. Go through BIOS setup : there is a menu in which you can choose which graphic adapter should be used for boot : either PCI or AGP. Choose PCI.

Good luck.
