Estoy instalando un driver para mi tarjeta de red HP NC-Series Broadcom TG3 Driver for Linux
en un servidor HP ProliantML110 G5. En un Sistema Operativo Red Hat 4 Update 2.
El paquete rmp q baje de HP es: tg3-3.90b-1.src.rpm mi kernel del sistema operativo es 2.6.9-55.ELsmp.
Hay una serie de pasos que indica el archivo txt que viene con el driver y todo sale bien hasta el paso 6 donde solo se configura las direcciones de red DNS y demas. Y, el problema aqui es que mi Sistema Operativo no ve la tarjeta. La ventana de dialogo de Red no detecta ninguna tarjeta de red. corri el comando: system-config-network-tui y no detecta la tarjeta, si ingreso la configuracion crea el archivo correspondiente: ifcfg-eth0. Pero sigo sin red. Sigo sin comunicarme con la tarjeta de red.
Espero poder encontrar la respuesta aqui porque eh buscado por todo google y no hay nada concreto.

One of the things that people insist on ignoring in these situations is the possibility the network card is dead.
check dmesg
If you have error messages related to the network card, have it replaced or put in an add in card.
