NOVELL OES with DL 380 G4

Hello guys,

I had strange thing. I was using Novell OES with DL 380 G4 with 2GB memory (4x512MB) then i upgraded memory to 6GB (6x1GB) but BIOS shows 6GB memory NOVELL OES show 3GB. Where is 3GB memory.
SUSE LINUX Enterprise Server 9 can allocate 32 GB memory.

Re: NOVELL OES with DL 380 G4

do you run OES v1? According to http://www.novell.com/products/openenterpriseserver/compare.html, it doesn't know to work with >4GB RAM.

From the other side, you say that SUSE Linux ES 9 supports up to 32G....
probably x86_64 version?

Re: NOVELL OES with DL 380 G4

Try with: "cat /etc/*elease"
or with: "SPident"
