Number of partitions limitation - RedHat - CCISS

Hi, I recently confiured a cluster with a MSA500 and 2 Proliant DL580 and I could not create more than 5 LVM partitions (with fdisk and CCISS driver)in the shared storage LUN. Anybody knows if there is some sort of limitation in RedHat, CCISS, etc... ?
