Orphaned clients

Using DP5.5 with Windows Server 2003. I have a backup specification that now reports this error when I open it for editing,
....While loading the currently selected backup specification, Data Protector found a backup object belonging to a client system that is no longer imported in cell 'Cell manager name'.
Do you want to leave the orphan object in the backup specification?....

The backup job was created, tested and used for several days before this I got this error. Any ideas?
