Partitioning with disk druid and disk space requied.
Can anybody tell me how much space at least I need to install redhat linux 7.0 in the system ?
And I have one disk drive loading Windows 2000 Professional and I'd like to install redhat linux on the same drive.
3.0GBytes are currently unallocated and I want to setup linux on that area.
When I'm in setup process, disk druid said "error! there's no space....."
Do i have to partition unallocated space as linux native, linux swap with application "partion magic" ?
I'm totally new to redhat linux.
Thank you for your help.

Re: Partitioning with disk druid and disk space requied.
if you are going to do a custom install (which you need to do if you want to preserve your windows 2000 installation) then you must create the partitions yourself. The minimum that you require would be a /boot partition in the first 1023 cyleders of the drive, a / partition and a swap partition.
If you are going to be using 30Gb then it would be better to create proper file systems, (eg separate partitions for /home, /usr, /tmp etc)
If you do the custom install and select packages manually you can keep your install size quite small.
