Pavilion 3265 won't recognize 5.7G Hdisk

Pavilion under Linux.

Bios shows 5.7G

Linux Red Hat 7.3 only seems to recognize 2G, not matter how we play with the bios.

Are we in need of a flash bios update? If so, where in hp's world do I find it.

Thanks.

Steve.

I don't have one of these to play with, but the description of the problem points to the BIOS not using LBA or other large-block addressing type of scheme.

I take it you've turned this on?

If this isn't it, what options do you have in terms of disk addressing types?

Seems we may need do insert some kind of Maxtor disk manager into the mix. Seems this is a common problem for the Pavilion series computer.
