printer option about verical

Hi expert,
Red Hat linux, printer is HP laserjet 4000.
Does anyone has the experiecne about how to set the verical mode with the command lpr ? Thanks.

Vertical mode?

As in the veritcal spacing, or put it into Portrait/Landscape?
