Problems Building hp-be2net-2.104.225.7 on RHEL5 64-bit

Hello,
I am trying install the NIC drivers for the NC553i NIC on a BL460c G7 server running on RHEL 5.3 x86_64 (kernel 2.6.18-238.1.1.el5).
HP supply the source rpm file "hp-be2net-2.104.225.7-1.src.rpm".
I have no problems installing the source rpm but am unable to build the binary rpm. I have attached the error message to this mail.

I have followed HPs installation instructions through hp-be2net-2.104.277.1-2.src.txt found at http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/SoftwareDescription.jsp?lang=en&cc=us&prodTypeId=329290&prodSeriesId=4324629&swItem=MTX-9dcd69bcd55e4b9aba3800f06f&prodNameId=4324630&swEnvOID=4006&swLang=8&taskId=135&mode=4&idx=0 .

Any suggestions would be appreciated (or a link to the compiled binary rpm!).

Based on http://h18004.www1.hp.com/products/servers/linux/supportmatrix/rhel/exceptions/rhel-exceptions.html showing the minimum supported version of RHEL5 for the BL460 G7 is 5.5 it seems a reasonable first guess that RHEL5.3 does not have the definition for the routine about which the compiler is complaining when you try to build the driver.

Hi,
That does sound very reasonable after looking at that link. Will give the build a try on a Redhat 5.5 system.

Many thanks for your response,
