Proliant DL360 smart array monitoring

I require smart array monitoring. I can not find compaq "management" cmastor, cmanic, hpasm software which matches my kernel versions. I am using the Proliant DL360 server with {redhat fedora kernel (2.6.6)} {redhat 7.3 kernel (2.4.20-28.7smp).} Is there a FAQ how to install/build compaq management/monitoring sofware.{-Timothy Webster} Outblaze Ltd.

For use PSP you need the required kernel versions.

You may try to use the hpasm, cmastor, cmanic &Co using your driver: if their release is high enough the PSP should work.

If you use a 2.6 kernel I think you have no ways.

Download and read the instructions, avoid running rpm without before reading carefully infos using
rpm -qpi PKGNAME.rpm

Re: Proliant DL360 smart array monitoring

ThanksI don't see an easy way to make compaq management work with 2.6 kernels. HP how about source? I volunteer to help migrate this to 2.6. In fact is compaq management in HP's source forge??-TimOutblaze.comP.S. STOP REMOVING MY LINE FEEDS!!!

Re: Proliant DL360 smart array monitoring

Well, I tried with an older version of Konquerer, and it did the same thing. It also un-necesarily quoted things, but *shrug*. Don't have a spare dev system to throw 3.2.2 on.

Post a bug-report in the thread http://forums1.itrc.hp.com/service/forums/questionanswer.do?threadId=605704 , and we'll see what happens.
