Proliant DL385 with RH ES v4u4 kernel panics with "many lost ticks, your time source ..." problem
We have:
DL385
2x280 2.4 DC Opterons
16 GB RAM 8x2GB
6x146GB HDDs
RedHat ES v4u4
PSP 7.70 installed
When we try to run our software (reservoir simulation) with full load on all 4 cores hpasmd brings following error:
"Corrected memory threshold exceeded (system memory, memory bank 7)...." details in attachment.
Without modules 6&7 problem remains but without mention of memory module just "your time source seems to be instable or some driver hogging interrupts" details in attachent.
All modules are well tested on other servers with no one error!
Does anybody has description of this message and possible ways to solve it.
Thank you in advance.

The first thing that I would check is start with the installation cd en run:
memtest
Also, I will try the test with the hpasmd service down.

Por que hacerlo dificil si es posible hacerlo facil? - Why do it the hard way, when you can do it the easy way?

Running memtest 24 hours(4 full cycles) from bootable CD produced no one error.
