RAID 1 Cloning for RedHat 4.0
Hi Forum,
I did a RAID 1 hardware mirror on HP Proliant server DL385.
The harddisk was again RAID 1 mirror onto another HP Proliant server DL385 having the same hardware specifications.
But when i rebooted the 2nd DL385 the following errors appears:
/sbin/multipath: error while loading shared libraries: libsysfs.so1: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
Server hang at Enable swap space
Query: Can anyone advise on the cause?
Thanks/cliff

Re: RAID 1 Cloning for RedHat 4.0
Shalom Cliff,
The hardware configuration in this installation is not exactly the same as the second.
See if the files its complaining about exist.
These servers need disk prepared prior to installation of the OS. If the preparation was diffrent on the two systems this would explain the problem.
You might want to try http://www.mondorescue.org or http://www.acronis.com to replicate the original system in a more hardware flexible way.
