RedHat 9 and Update Agent
one Question:
I have RH9.0 installed and will upgrade the latest packages... How? RedHat has now changed to Fedora... How ich configure the RH UP2DATE-Tool for use the Fedora Updater?

There are a lot of considerations to do about it:
- the hw vendor supports linux (eg. hp) if so check hp.com/linux to find out a policy of upgrade.
- do you _really_ need the latest patches/packages?
You can download latest rh9 patches from rh site (i suggesto you mirroring whole ftp directory tree using wget ;-)
Else you can install and configure yum
(find on google) but I suggest to shift entirely to fedora instead of doing it..

you can get fedora via http://fedora.redhat.com
The latest stable version is Core 1, the latest released is Test 2 for Core 2. Core 2 will use the 2.6 kernel series, which is required for some of the more recent peripherals.

If you're looking for linux for production environment - I recommend RHEL and not FC.
FC lifecycle is <1year; see this page for more:
