Redhat Linux and ML370 Proliant 733Mhz, Installation Hang????

I've had both things occurr:
1) Installation Hang - during partitioning and also during the application installation.
2) post installation, running RH, and it just hangs.

Are there any kernel parameters I should give when launching the installation of Redhat?
I tried:
linux ide=nodma - I read something about a hang associated with the CDROM and to pass this argument to the kernel. This didn't help. I've also tried the latest SoftPaq - compaq system erase utility, v1.70 A, with an executable named (SP22002.exe - 664.4KB), maybe someone has some advice? Help...

You should not have to do anything special with regards to the kernel.

If you installed grub and the debugging kernel, try bootinf off that and see if it provides any further insite.

I wouhd tend to think there is a hardware issue slamming the kernel. Probably bad hardware since the Proliant's are certified by Red Hat.

Hello!

It's new issue that this happend (new machine)
Does other OS work ik on the machine.

This happend every time when you try to do

It's probably some hardware problem that
couse that.
