						Hi,
We have a new project where we need to install RHEL4 on HP Itanium rx6600 server. Please let me know whether we need a seperate RHEL 4 OS CDs for Itanium (rx6600) machine or we can use the RHEL4 x86 CDs for the same and what are the major differences?
Thanks

						Shalom,
Itanium will not take x86 cds or x64 cd's.
You need IA64 media.
Itanium is a totally different processor architecture compared to the other two options.
Functionally there is no difference. Everything, including clustering works the same way. Installation is different due to the need to use the Itanium EFI interface to set up the install.

And you will need RHEL4U3 or newer for ia64.
