REDhat server only shows an IP in sim urgent to fix

we have just deployed 3 red hat servers x64 (dl360 g6 servers)

all built the same way all have the same agents installed, but only one shows up in SIM with the name and all details

the other 2 only show as an ip and are lacking information

also the homepage dose not sem to show any server details

help please urgent to fix

Something went wrong with the install on two of the systems.

I recommend a complete re-install of PSP on the malfunctioning systems.

already done this twice

and the same results

just found a problem with the hp_snmp_agent.conf file

the servers that were not being brought in to SIM had entries missing

added them and they have now come in to sim

i still have the problem with the homepage not showing any details on all 3 servers.

any cluses about that?

and please do not sugest reinstalling it as i have done this twice thank you

No I'm not going to ask you to re-install again.

Check the install logs, make sure you permitted the installation of the rpms recommended.

Next check system firmware and update the systems giving you trouble if there is a variance between the systems not having trouble.

Firmware can cause problems, as can lack of dependencies.

I am assuming that the OS install was the same on all three systems.

Also, there is a minimum RHEL requirement for RHEL. 4.7 and 5.2 or 5.3.

I'm not sure RHEL 3 is supported at all on G6 servers, and that may be a problem.

PSP has a support Matrix and support for RHEL3 may have been dropped. The PSP CD itself has a support matrix built in.
