Replacement of defunct drive on a DL380

Hi

Got a defunct drive on a DL380 with SLES 9 installed.

The drive is part of a RAID-10 setup.

Do I have to tell the system that I have replaced the drive ?

Can the installed hpacucli-package be used to tell the system that I want to remove a drive, and then rescan for new drives ?

Or do I just replace the drive and let the system do the rest ?

You should be able to just remove the bad drive and plug in the new drive. You can then verify with hpacu or hpacucli the progress of the automatic rebuild.

Replacement of disk solved problem.

Did not have to do anything with hpacucli.
