RHEL 5 installation -> drivers not found
ML150 G6
Backround:
Used easy setup cd to install drivers - v 1.00 (B)
BIOS settings
-RAID enabled
-VT enabled
-Boot order
- CD
- Harddrive
- N/W
Issue:
When I tried to install linux (rhel 5) from CD onto ml150 g6 (new) (Server does not have Diskette drives only CD/DVD ROM)
Boots from linux CD
I press enter
After sometime,
We get following error
A) No Driver found
Unable to find any devices of the type needed for this installation type, Would you like to manually select your driver or use a driver disk?
Select Driver Use a driver disk Back
We could not get through this step of Installation process.
Note:
I did search through knowledge base -> found some issues related to hpahcsi v 1.2.x.x (related or not - I am not sure). They requested to create a driver diskette, But our server does not have any diskette drives :(
Could you please assist us?
Can I get a new easy setup cd image with all uptodate drivers to load onto server?
Is there any way work around -> Can I enter something (linux dd or linux xxx command)
Regards,
Apple

Re: RHEL 5 installation -> drivers not found
It would be helpful to know which update.
G6 servers require either update two or update three.
There are no G6 drivers in earlier RHEL 5 releases and their installation on G6 servers is not supported.
HP pulled the smart start linux installer helper from the smart start cd.
