Re: RHEL4 or SLES9 SP1 on rx1600
The SLES9 installation works if you don't start it with the SP1 cd, but the installation breaks as soon as you apply the SP1. With RHEL4 i can't install it. In both installations (SLES9 SP1 and RHEL4) i get output on the console until this line:
"VFS: Mounted root (ext2 filesystem)"
Identicaly in both. It's documented for the SLES9 SP1, (http://portal.suse.com/sdb/en/2005/01/dcon_rx1600_sles9_sp1.html) i'm trying the workarround this night.
No documentation for RHEL4

Re: RHEL4 or SLES9 SP1 on rx1600
Anyway, found an unofficial new kernel from suse and i'm goin' to try it to see if this fixes the issue. If it doesn't i'll have to make the tests with SLES9 without the SP1.
