RHEL4 U3 AS install fails on DL145 G2
Hi all,
I am trying to install RHEL4 U3 AS on a DL145 G2 system.
Since I do not have internal CD/DVD drive, I install from a USB CD-RW drive.
All goes well, until the CD 3 is used.
When almost finished installing from CD 3, the install exits with the message:
"install exited abnormally".
I checked log files, but cannot find any reason.
I also checked the md5sum of the ISOs I downloaded from RHN, but they were OK.
Does anyone have simmilar experience with RHEL4 on DL 145G2?
Regards,
Peter

Re: RHEL4 U3 AS install fails on DL145 G2
Shalom,
Probably bad media. If the install starts this release will work with the hardware.
I however see no reason not to try Red Hat 4 update 4. If a problem was reported on update 3 it may have been fixed with 4.

Re: RHEL4 U3 AS install fails on DL145 G2
Hi,
thnx for the response.
I burned another CD, tested it and it was good. Still the same problem.
Could it be that the USB CD drive is causing the problem?
I am currently setting up FTP install, to see if that works.
