						Hi All,
I have finally achieved our goal. I am running samba on linux RH9, and it is controlled through our windoze network. All permission control and authenication is done through our NT domain to get to the linux file shares.
The only part that is not working is, when I go to control panel, computer management, connect to another computer(linux), I see the shares just fina and I can grant rights from there. However I can not see open sessions to these shares from the windoze/computer management side. I have to go to swat to see the actual sessions. Anyone know how this can be fixed?

						Robert,
Excellent that you have gotten this far. I'm not sure this last little step is possible. If it is, here is how I would approach it.
I have created a windows user called root. Its an admin and part of teh domain. All Red Hat machines have machine accounts on the Primary domain controller.
Use this new user root and see if it can pick up the information you want.
What version of Samba are you using? The 3.x version may provide this functionality.

I am running 2.2.8a. Thanks for the info. Still confused over this "stub" error.

I think SEP is right, you will probably need to go to 3.x for this support. I just checked this on our Win2k3 server connecting to a FreeBSD 5.2.1 box running samba 3.x. I've got the 3.x server set up for as much active directory support as I can, and the computer management applet can connect and view shares/sessions with no problems.
