Hello gentlemen
i am trying to configure some sort of security on samba shared directories.
here is the scenario
1- i have 3 shared directories

Share1 is public contains some directories for each user. each user has his own directory and should not access any other user's directory
Share2 should be accessed by User2 only
Share3 should be accessed by User3 only
can you please help in this
Notes:
1- samba Version 3.0.28
2- i am using system files for authentication (passwd and shadow)
thanks

Re: Samba security
Hello manuj!
Samba honours UNIX file access attributes and auth mechanisms. You may look here for information on this:

Kind regards,
Kobylka
