sar statistics question
In the manual from command sar (#man sar) explains this for %wio.
%wio idle with some process waiting for I/O (only block I/O, raw I/O, or VM pageins/swapins indicated);
What means I/O block?.

Well, you must be using a different version of Sar that I'm used to using under Linux. In any case, it's talking about Disk access as best as I can understand.

This tries to explain how the data is retrieved for the %WIO values.
Hope that helps. Failing that, you could always look at the discussions for the meaning of the value for other OS's.
