server hang

our linux server hung and when we rebooted could not get anything from (messages,dmesg). however i found this on dmidecode ..is this a memory error? where i can see copied of this error

dmidecode |grep -i error

Shalom Brian,

Its probably a memory problem. The system should really panic at boot time and probably will at some point.

Most systems come with a bootable cd/dvd that permits hardware diagnosis. I recoomend it be used in this case to test memory.

Actually i just noticed, i see this error on all our 12 linux boxes..so may be it is not an error..any ideas why it talks about MultiBit Ecc?
