sudo - invalid password issue

I am running sudo on our servers, but on two Red Hat Version 4 servers, when you enter a wrong password, it doesn't prompt you to enter the password again, it just says Sorry three times and ends... Any idea why it would not prompt you to enter it again instead of just failing ??

On other Red Hat 5 servers it works as expected and prompts to reenter password...

$ sudo infid infechp
Password:
Sorry, try again.
Sorry, try again.
Sorry, try again.
op: 3 incorrect password attempts
$

Closing, found issue in system-auth file
