Has anyone managed to get the integrated Actiontec Prism wireless working on the Omnibook 510 under SUSE 10.1?
Have tried NDIS but cannot get ifup to start device.
Any clues would be appreciated (and rewarded :-)
Regards,
Bob Headrick

Re: SUSE 10.1 on Omnibook 510 w/integrated wireless
Shalom Bob,
Tough situation.
1) Ubuntu has the best wireless hardware support, just a thought.

You'll want to refine my search somewhat.

Re: SUSE 10.1 on Omnibook 510 w/integrated wireless
Thanks Steven.
I will wade through those, the DriverLoader one looks like it might have some promise.
I probably should have been a bit more clear in my request. I can get wireless networking if I plug in a Linksys PCMCIA card. I would like to get the integrated 802.11b Actiontec USB stuff working on the OB 510.
Regards,
Bob Headrick

Solution
Looking through http://www.linux-on-laptops.com/hp.html , I found a report of success using the wireless lan at http://www.math.fau.edu/sramka/omnibook510/ .
He used linux-wlan drivers from
http://www.linux-wlan.com/linux-wlan/index.html built on slackware. It looks like the current release of linux-wlan may be up-to-date enough to work with the SUSE 10.1 kernel.
