ulimit is not changing, if i logged as a user directly
Hello All,
I have changed the ulimit for the user infa on one of my server. Its only changed IF i su to infa, but its not changing if i ssh to infa
[root@dmocoi~]# su - infa
sid=d070, home=/ora01/oracle/product/11.1.0.
/ifx01/informatica/pc86
infa@dmocoi$ ulimit -a
core file size (blocks, -c) unlimited
data seg size (kbytes, -d) unlimited
scheduling priority (-e) 0
file size (blocks, -f) unlimited
pending signals (-i) 268287
max locked memory (kbytes, -l) 32
max memory size (kbytes, -m) unlimited
open files (-n) 4096
pipe size (512 bytes, -p) 8
POSIX message queues (bytes, -q) 819200
real-time priority (-r) 0
stack size (kbytes, -s) 10240
cpu time (seconds, -t) unlimited
max user processes (-u) unlimited
virtual memory (kbytes, -v) unlimited
file locks (-x) unlimited
Can any one help me to trouble shoot on this.. Thanks in advance!

There are many ways to change ulimit settings. Exactly what did you do to change it?
The usual way to change ulimit settings on Linux would be to edit /etc/security/limits.conf.
If you instead added some "ulimit" commands to some login script, please tell the name of the script file and the name and version of your Linux distribution (i.e. RHEL x.y, SuSE xx SP y, other?).
