Unable to change the passwords on AS 3 update 1.

hi,

I am trying to change the password of a user,
but when we type the password, it just echo's it.

Any thoughts.

I do have removed the password field of that particular user from the /etc/shadow.

Even same problem with root user too...

Found the solution.

remove the .pwd.lock.
