Unable to connect to Internet using K56 Modem in FC3

By using Soft K56 Data Fax Voice Speakerphone CARP(D-link) Internal Modem I'm not able to connect to internet in Fedora Core 3 OS.

What I have to do. Please do let me know where can I get the drivers and how to install them.

If its a winmodem you have two strikes against you.

Check the o/p of scanpci , mostly the modem will be a hsf/hcf one . Try using the attached driver.

most of the winmodems are not supported in linux. except few which are listed in http://www.linmodems.org (as SEP mentioned).

Better would be to buy a pci modem card which is reliable than softmodems and use it in linux.
