Hello,
we've got ESX 3.5 U4 installed on a DL380 G5. This morning I installed HP SMH 3.0.1-73. So far, so good. When I checked to see if it all worked, it wouldn't show any agent info. So I downloaded hpmgmt-8.2.0-vmware3x.tgz en extracted it. First part of the installation worked perfectly. Second part, the actual installation, told me I should remove the previous installation. (Of the SMH that is...)
I followed HP's guide for removing SMH, but every time I try to install the package again is tells me to remove the previous installation.
"Some agents have already been installed. Please remove the previous installation. Check hpmgmtlog for additional information."
The only thing the log tells me is to remove hpsmh-3.0.1-73.
I'm probably forgetting something, but I don't know what...
Any help would be appreciated...

Shalom,
The message is quite accurate.
hpsmh is installed.
rpm -qa | grep -i hpsmh
rpm -e it.
If yum is installed, yum remove it.
