Updating Linux AS 3 with update 3 on Proliant DL 380

Hi everybody.

Can someone send me directions on how to install update 3 for this version of Linux from HD or CD ?

The installation procedure is the same Update 3 means it has the latest kernel which takes care of many vulnerabilities and has fixes.

With the AS product you can't boot and upgrade.

If you boot off of the cd it thinks you are doing a cold install.

You may be able to do this and not overwrite the /usr filesystem (and others) and it will work.

What his easier to do is to instert the cd into the GUI and install applications off the cd set. If you pick everything you have installed, that and all dependencies will be updated.

On a practical level, the up2date command/interface will accomplish the same thing.
