usb interrupts appearing in /var/log/messages

Nov 4 09:48:35 localhost kernel: usb-uhci.c: interrupt, status 3, frame# 372

Can anyone explain to me what these messages
mean, and possibly how to turn them off, since
my log files are filling up with hundreds of
them? The message arrives about every 5-6 seconds.

I'm running RH8.0, kernel 2.4.20-28

Thanks in advance,

What USB devices are plugged in?

Re: usb interrupts appearing in /var/log/messages

That's the strange thing, there are no
USB devices plugged in.

I did have an HP CD-Writer plugged in for
a while, but since it wasn't autodetected,
I only used it when I rebooted into Windows.

Have you tried booting with 'nousb' on the boot-prompt?

I'm still not sure what the error message
was, but simply unplugging the usb device
stopped the messages from appearing. Thanks
for pointing out what should have been obvious.
