Vxfs and Serviceguard on Redhat
And also advantages/disadvantages of HP Serviceguard on Redhat over Veritas or Redhat clustering.
FYI - We use UniVerse Pick database which is more or less flat file and we have lot of I/O

vxfs/vxvm will definitely win over ext3/LVM in terms of functionality/performance.
One disadvantage I see is money.

I wrote a userspace tool that allow activating hpux-formatted LVM disks on linux...
Well, for vxfs you have to find another tool...

It has all the usual advantages
of this file system type.
Disadvantages were all to do with
the accompanying VxVM 4.1 volume manager:
Its startup mechanisms were not well
integrated.
iSCSI devices were not supported, though I
think 5.0 MP2 should provide this.
