which wireless chip is in there ?
I cannot find on the Netgear website.

Seems to work with ndiswrapper Linux driver. Google is your friend :

Netgear has a poor record with Linux. They have the audacity to stamp many of their products with the phrase:

Works with most major operating systems.

Then they list the windows versions they work with.

I have had to give up a number of times on making their products work. Google is your best bet here.
