Broadcom firmware upgrade problem on DL380 gen9
I made a problem with flashing HPE Broadcom NX1 Online Firmware for Windows Server x64 Editions for Proliant Gen10 Server Only on Gen9. Now my server recognizes the adapter as Broadcom and does not recognize HPE drivers anymore. I can't flash any other version of HPE firmware, becuase Server does not recognize NIC as HPE NIC.
How can I downgrade NIC Firmware? How to solve the problem?
Thanks for help in advance!

Re: Broadcom firmware upgrade problem on DL380 gen9
Dear si124
You havde to down;load Service Pack for Proliant Gen9 latest version. Also need to download a HPE USB key utility to create a bootable USB media.
make a bootable USB media of latest gen9 SPP, that is SPP Gen 9.1. boot your server through this media in intractive mode. now you can able to upgrade firmware of your server.
Hope, I could provide you with clear and helpful instructions. If you have any more questions or need further assistance, don't hesitate to ask. I'm here to help!
Have a great day! !
Thanks & Regards...

Re: Broadcom firmware upgrade problem on DL380 gen9
Thank you for your hint. It doesn't work, because SPP doesn't recognize Broadcom NIC - I can't see it in inventory.
Any other solution?
Thanks!

Re: Broadcom firmware upgrade problem on DL380 gen9
dear si124
Are you useing hpe dl380 gen9 supported LAN card?? if yes, it will deffinately recognised by SPP.
As per your info you are using Broadcom view NX1 1GB/s NIC, as per my knowledge it is supported for ProLiant MicroServer Gen10 Plus v2 and ProLiant DL380 Gen10. So it is not supported hardware. Suggest you to use supported hardwares only for smooth operation. different types of hardware or non-supported hardwares might be worked with your server, but when you facing any challange, it will about to non-recoverable.
Hope, you beter understand the situation. So, please go through the HPE DL 380 Gen9 Quick speck and choose correct hardware and replece with non-supported hardwares.
Thanks & Regards...

Re: Broadcom firmware upgrade problem on DL380 gen9
Thanks for answer.
NIC is embedded so it should be supported. As I noticed, card was recognized before I upgraded ROM using Broadcom NX1 Gen10 Only file.
Now, the card is working, but it is not recognized in ILO and not recognized by SPP Gen9.1.

Re: Broadcom firmware upgrade problem on DL380 gen9
Dear si124
As per QuickSpec, HPE ProLiant DL380 Gen9 Server is integrated with HPE Embedded 1Gb Ethernet 4-port 331i Adapter. it does not support Broadcom NX1 Gen10 firmware. you have flashed wrong firmware codes. that is why you are facing the issues. please flash latest firmware for gen9. link given below.

Re: Broadcom firmware upgrade problem on DL380 gen9
@rabindra11sharm Thank you for your reply.
As I have written before. When I tried to flash the firmware, I got the window, that hardware doesn't exist. The firmware program does not recognize the NIC as the HPE Embedded 1Gb Ethernet 4-port 331i Adapter.
Any other solution?
Thanks!
